• Drive your Toyota at least once a week for a minimum of 20 minutes.
This helps ensure that moving parts get lubricated, the battery stays charged, tires wont develop flat spots and helps minimize rust forming on the brake rotors.
• Ensure you are following your vehicles recommended service schedule.
It is important to follow your recommended service every 6 months or 8,000km. Whichever comes first. Oil can deteriorate over time, especially with fluctuations in temperatures. Even if you are not driving as often, it is recommended to change your oil at minimum every twelve months*
• Exterior protection.
Wash and wax your vehicle regularly to protect your paint. Ensure any bird droppings are cleaned as it can deteriorate your paint. Road paint and tar can fly onto your vehicle from your tires. These chemicals can deteriorate your paint.
• Check for pests.
A parked car can become an inviting space for small rodents like mice and squirrels. They can use your engine compartment as a nest. While in there, they can eat and destroy wiring and other important components. So if your vehicle has been sitting for a while, check your engine bay for a nest before starting up!
Rest assured our Toyota trained technicians have the knowledge and expertise to help keep your Toyota in peak condition.
